Many people in these difficult times have been, or will be, made redundant and are being forced to find new jobs. Landing a new job can be hard enough at the best of times but it's even harder when more people are competing for fewer jobs, especially if you've been in your job for some time and haven't had any practice at writing CVs or attending interviews.
Companies can no longer afford to provide the support that would often have been offered to redundant employees to help them cope with this difficult transition. But the good news is that a little personal coaching can really help you improve your performance in the recruitment process, and it doesn't have to cost the earth!
We are now offering you a special coaching package that covers the skills you need to make a successful transition into a new job. Everyone is different, and as with all our coaching this package is very flexible and will include an initial free phone conversation to establish your own particular needs. The coaching will be divided into several "instalments" and will be done over the telephone at times to suit you, so it's very convenient.
You will get about 3 hours of coaching in all, but it will be split up so that you can go away and (say) rewrite your CV, prepare some answers to interview questions, or practise interview answers in between coaching sessions. You'll get lots of feedback and support as well as invaluable advice. The price for transitional coaching is just £250, so it's excellent value for money.

Stage 1
The process starts at the CV or, alternatively (depending on the employer) the online application form. These forms are processed by machines using artificial intelligence, not people using judgement. The computers are programmed to score the CV/online application based on set criteria. If you don’t use the right words or give the right answers your application will fail at the first hurdle. Stage 2
Stage 2 for many of the top employers is to use Telephone Interviewing as another “screen them out” process. Employers love this stage because it is cheap and can be outsourced to a third party. Being interviewed on the telephone is rather like speaking to a call centre except that this time they can stop your potential career in its tracks. If you haven’t been trained in telephone interview techniques you will be at a disadvantage. You need to learn the skills.

Stage 3
If you have been successful so far, the next stage (depending on the prospective employer) is either the Assessment Centre or a face to face interview. Because of the cost of running Assessment Centres some businesses prefer to screen applicants out at interview. Others take the view that it makes better use of their senior executives' time if the Assessment Centre is run first and only those who succeed there are interviewed by the top people.
All the ‘blue-chip’ companies use face to face interviews that are “criteria based”. This means that the questions will have been developed by psychologists to identify particular behaviours that the ‘blue-chip’ has found to be displayed by its most successful people. These behaviours may relate to things like interpersonal skills, ethics, results orientation, problem solving etc. There is a ‘right way’ to answer these questions and that is what we will teach you.

For many people being interviewed by someone we don’t know can be stressful and it can bring out nervous reactions in our speech or body language. So, face to face practice and on-camera feedback can be invaluable as it mirrors the real life interview. For example, if we can see and hear ourselves on film using the (inappropriate for business) ‘cool’ language and gestures of our social group we can do something about it.
Package 5 – On-Camera Interview Skills (3Hrs) - £550.00

The above coaching packages are extremely helpful for face to face interviews, but are unfortunately not a substitute for Assessment Centre training. For coaching in Assessment Centre skills, you will need to attend our Assessment Centre Training Programme.
All our coaching is flexible and we will discuss and agree what's right for you before you have to pay anything.
The way our coaching sessions work is that essentially you buy a period of time and we structure that together so that you get the most out of it. For example many people who select the Telephone Interviewing will break the 3 hours into a number of sessions to allow for practice, feedback, a pre-interview motivational call and a follow-up review.
